Product Overview
The Kowa Genesis XD binocular incorporates a total of 4 XD lenses to significantly reduce chromatic aberration and provide a high contrast in the field of view. The high refractive roof prism combined with Kowa’s lens coating delivers the clearest and sharpest images. Kowa uses a Schmidt-Pechan prism, this increases reflectivity by 99% or higher reflectance rate across the entire visible spectrum. This not only provides bright and sharp images, but also accurate color representation.
The magnesium alloy body is formed using a sophisticated thixomolding technology to deliver benefits of a higher strength metal body, but in a lightweight magnesium alloy structure. The durability and reliability of these binoculars can withstand the most severe conditions to provide users the greatest degree of confidence and security. Kowa’s KR coating protects the lenses from dirt and other foreign residues that may affix to the lenses during normal use. The housing is waterproof to JIS Protection Class 7 and filled with nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging to ensure image clarity.
