This is a full power 44 Magnum. Good for hunting or woods defense. Expect both match accuracy and a big blast! Hornady’s deep driving 240 grain XTP is designed to expand 1.5 times it’s diameter and to drive deep into your target.
Not all barrels are created equal, chronographs don’t always agree with each other and atmospheric conditions affect velocities. That being said, we believe that you can expect to get at least 1,380 fps out of a 7.5″ barrel, maybe a little more. Our 7.5″ Blackhawk got an average velocity of 1,396 fps.
